Election 2016: Empowering the I/DD Community To Rock The Vote

When:  Oct 25, 2016 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM (ET)

Description

Election Day 2016 is right around the corner, and millions of Americans are planning to go to the polls. We hope you are too!  In addition to electing a new president, all 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the U.S. Senate will be contested. Your state may also have a governor race, state legislature elections, and/or additional state and local races and ballot initiatives.

On October 25th, ANCOR will host a webinar to help our members prepare for Election Day 2016. Hear from colleagues at RespectAbility, AAPD, and The Arc on national efforts to mobilize people with disabilities and their allies to vote; to inform voters of candidates’ positions on issues that are important to the disability community; and to educate voters on rights and resources on polling place accessibility and casting a ballot.

Real-time captioning is available for this webinar.
